horse congestion

(click to view full size image)

this ramp was built a few years ago to fix up this really badly congested spot on the expressway where an on ramp and an off ramp were really close together. drivers couldn't figure out how to negotiate the mess and it would back traffic up for everyone whether they were planning on using the ramps or not.

a long time ago i was driving with someone that shall remain unnamed and he commented on the situation by saying that he supposes the expressway planners didn't really think it through cause back when it was built horse drawn buggies didn't move too fast so traffic wasn't a problem. yeh, our expressways were built for horse and buggy. we don't speak anymore.
