i tend to dive in to hobbies pretty hard. it's what happened with photography. for me, it's hard to keep two hobbies going at the same time so the photography thing has kind of fallen by the wayside cause i've been trying to teach myself to mix records instead.
i bought these 1200's off my friend jay just a couple of days before he died. when the second year anniversary of his death came up i started feeling a bit guilty that they've gone mostly unused so i decided to give beat matching a go. needless to say, at first it was a cringe inducing cacophony of crap. lately though, i'm finding i can listen back to my practice sessions with only minor embarrassment. wow, i'm really selling it here. anyway, check out the mix below that's definitely got a few noob mistakes but should be mostly listenable... well, depending on your tastes in music that is.
