This bridge links Shugborough Hall (the home of the late great photographer, Patrick Lord Lichfield) with the village of Great Haywood.
I was intrigued by the types of different masonry, brickwork and stonework here. The bridge must have been repaired or renovated many times over the years.
The building seen through the arch of the bridge, just beyond the locks, is a superb little restaurant with a lovely garden. A great place to sit in summer.
