Juneau, Alaska. The tourists are back aboard their ships and the float planes that have ferried them here, there, and yon have completed another day's work.
Time to go home... and prepare for another day... and more tourists.
You know by now how much my life revolves around aircraft. But it's been a long time since I've flown any light aircraft and I've never flown float-planes. So I was almost mesmerized watching these guys from the bow of our ship... shot lots of images.
And I liked the effect of the silhouette against the stunning blue and white Alaskan sky as these guys headed for the "roost"... wherever that might be.
Full frame viewing really shows off the color of this one.

The historic takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which could come as soon as this weekend, moved to the forefront of the presidential campaign Saturday.
In the arena that night, the whole last minute was drowned out by cheers — and then when the soaring music swelled, the confetti rained down as the harbinger of balloons and the hopeful first family took the stage, forget about it — it was a perfect end to a convention that last Monday, no one even knew if it would happen. But it did, and I'm so glad to have been there.
