Chris Plummer has a good chat up concerning Tiberium while at Play.TM. An interesting quote from this chat:
"Another key learning is that a first-person experience
set in a universe this deep needs to be presented with conviction in the most
immersive way possible. The visual style of Tiberium is a deliberate attempt to
make the universe feel a lot more real - like it could really happen.
At the end of the day, Tiberium is a very different animal,
but I think there were still a lot of little lessons from Renegade as well.
Aside from the squad-control mechanics, we're introducing a
first-person cover system that allows players to easily stay protected in cover
and fight from cover without accidently sliding out in the open."
The historic takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which could come as soon as this weekend, moved to the forefront of the presidential campaign Saturday.
In the arena that night, the whole last minute was drowned out by cheers — and then when the soaring music swelled, the confetti rained down as the harbinger of balloons and the hopeful first family took the stage, forget about it — it was a perfect end to a convention that last Monday, no one even knew if it would happen. But it did, and I'm so glad to have been there.
